Schedule of Events 

2011 Festival off Main Committee invites you and your family to attend this four day event!  It will be filled with fun for all ages.  Mark your calendar and plan to join us for all of the festivities!! 

Thursday, December 1st – 6:15 p.m.    

  •  Annual Tree Lighting at the Depot
  • Elementary children singing Christmas songs – arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus
  • Hamburgers  & hot dogs sold by the Thomson Fire Department 

Friday, December 2nd – 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. 

  • Movie night at the Depot
  • Games, crafts & snacks
  •  “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” 
  • $8.00 a ticket – 5yrs – 12yrs 

It’s a secret! Remember, don’t tell anybody. The Grinch will be at the movie. Don’t forget to sign your name on the back of your tickets. The tickets will be sold at the Chamber of Commerce. Now remember, don’t tell anybody that the Grinch will at the movie! (Shhhhh…..Reindeer Max told me so!)

Saturday, December 3rd  

  • 8:30 a.m. – Depot Dash – 5k Run-Walk.  At sign-in, T-shirts will be handed out with entry of $20 fee. 
  • 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.  – Festival begins:  Arts & Crafts – Entertainment all day, including the Sassy Brass Band.  Good food – free inflatables for children.  Come do your Christmas shopping with us! 
  • 10:00 a.m. -3:00 p.m. Kids corner – games and crafts 
  • 5:00 p.m. – Tour of Homes – Refreshments served at the Chamber of Commerce.  Buses leave the Chamber of Commerce at 5:30 p.m.  Ticket prices in advance are $20 and $25 the day of the event. 

Sunday, December 4th  

  • Parade – 3:00 p.m.  Theme: Festival of Trees – $10 per car/motorcycle/truck, and $25 per float.
